BIO
Feeling a need to create and satisfying that need has been innate from my earliest memory. My work has evolved through exploration of mediums and absorption of life circumstances. Availability of space, time and energy level has guided and dictated the production of art, although the passion never subsides.
Born and raised in Maryland, majored in General Sculptural Studies and graduated with a Fine Art degree from the Maryland Institute
College of Art (MICA). To follow was marriage, motherhood, personal and circumstantial challenges that fueled my strength for both my life and my art, which has grown to be intertwined as the same entity.
Expressive in light, color, and space, my subject matter is borrowed from organic shapes in the form of figures, land and waterscapes, along with architectural elements. The focus is then interpreted from an idea that has directly affected me. My work takes form from
ongoing observations and dialogue through layers of medium to obtain the desired depth and effect.
